P-Ethoxy Oligonucleotide Modification
Bio-Synthesis offers P-ethoxy oligonucleotide modification. P-ethoxy oligos are uncharged, lipophilic analogues of phosphodiesters in which an ethyl group has been added to the nonbridging oxygen aton of the phosphate bonds. P-ethoxys were first synthesized by Miller et al. (1971) and were founded to be resistant against nuclease digestion (Miller et al, 1974) and could bind to DNA with higher binding affinity than their phosphodiester counterpart. (Miller et al, 1971).
Ethoxy modified oligonucleotide synthesized by Bio-Synthesis can be combined with other bases and/or sugar modified. These P-ethoxy oligo can be specified to have fully modified or a mixture of diester linkages as specified by customer. Contact us for P-ethoxy modified oligonucleotide synthesis.

Backbone Modification, Neutral Backbone
-20°C To -70°C
Oligonucleotides are stable in solution at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. Properly reconstituted material stored at -20°C should be stable for at least 6 months. Dried DNA (when kept at -20°C) in a nuclease-free environment should be stable for years.
