N3-Methyl deoxy Cytidine (N3-Me-dC) is used in the study of DNA alkylation damage and repair. This lesion formed by SN2 agents such as methyl methane sulfonate (MMS) and the naturally occurring methyl halides that appear in single-stranded DNA both in vitro and in vivo. N3-Methyl deoxy Cytidine (N3-Me-dC) often stalls DNA synthesis and is more likely to be toxic and study have shown N3-Methylcytosine is highly mutagenic in the life cycle of prokaryotes, eukaryotes and archaea.

-20°C To -70°C
Oligonucleotides are stable in solution at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. Properly reconstituted material stored at -20°C should be stable for at least 6 months. Dried DNA (when kept at -20°C) in a nuclease-free environment should be stable for years.
