dT Ferrocene Oligonucleotide Modification
Bio-Synthesis provide ferrocene oligonucleotide modification by direct labeling during at the time of synthesis through Ferrocene dT or labeled post-synthetically through the use of a amino modified oligonucleotide. Ferrocene is comprised of two cyclopentadienyl rings bound by a central iron atom. It has an excellent stability profile, ferrocene has always attracted considerable interest for DNA labelling to generate probes for electrochemical detection. When incorporated in DNA via a dT-Ferrocene phosphoramidite, oligo probes useful in electrochemical (EC) detection are generated. Modification of the 5-position of thymidine with ferrocene does not disrupt. Multiple incorporations into an oligonucleotide probe can be achieved.
Ferrocene oligonucleotides should be stored under Argon and aqueous solutions should be degassed immediately. Contact us for Ferrocene Modified Oligonucleotide.

dT Ferrocene Oligonucleotide Modification
Modified DNA Bases, Electrochemical (EC) detection
[Ferocene-dT] or [Ferrocene-dU]
-20°C To -70°C
Oligonucleotides are stable in solution at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. Properly reconstituted material stored at -20°C should be stable for at least 6 months. Dried DNA (when kept at -20°C) in a nuclease-free environment should be stable for years.
