BODIPY R6G Oligo Dye Labeling
Bio-Synthesis offers BODIPY R6G fluorescent dye oligonucleotide labeling. This dye can be used to create orange-fluorescent conjugate. It has peak excitation wavelength in 528 nm and emission wavelength in 550 nm. The electronically neutral BODIPY® R6G dye is spectrally similar to the positively charged rhodamine 6G dye.
- BODIPY substitute with spectra similar to rhodamine 6G
- pH-insensitive fluorescence
- Narrow spectral bandwidth
BODIPY R6G dye can be incorporated at any position within an Oligonucleotide post-synthetically. A primary amine modified oligonucleotide is used to covalently attach with dye via NHS ester chemistry; other cross-linking chemistries are also available depending on particular project specifications . Dual HPLC purification is highly recommended.

Extinction Coefficient, ε(λ):
70,000
-20°C To -70°C
Oligonucleotides are stable in solution at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. Properly reconstituted material stored at -20°C should be stable for at least 6 months. Dried DNA (when kept at -20°C) in a nuclease-free environment should be stable for years.
