Black Hole Quencher 2 - BHQ2 Oligonucleotide Modification
Bio-Synthesis offers Black Hole Quencher®-1 dye oligonucleotide modification. BHQ-2, a non-fluorescent dye can be place at 5' or 3' terminus or internally of an oligonucleotide. BHQ®-2 labeled oligonucleotides are used in many applications, including dual-labeled fluorogenic probes for real-time PCR. This dark quencher has strong absorption range of 599-670 nm, which provides excellent quenching of fluorophores that fluoresce in this range, such as Quasar® 570, TAMRA, CAL Fluor® Red 590, CAL Fluor Red 610, ROX, CAL Fluor Red 635, Pulsar® 650, Quasar 670 and Quasar 705 dyes. BHQ-2 dye may quench fluorescence by both FRET and static quenching mechanisms. Contact Bio-Synthesis for BHQ2 Quencher Oligonucleotide Synthesis and Modification Services.
