4-Thiouridine, 4-Thio-Uridine RNA Oligonucleotide Modification
4-Thiouridine, 4-Thio-Uridine, 4-S-U, is a photo-activatable RNA thionucleode analog. It is often used for analyzing RNA structure, RNA-RNA crosslinking, and nascent RNA labeling. The thio moiety of the 4-Thio-Uridine is directly crosslinked to the nucleotide base. This modified minor RNA base offers the advantage of incorporating into an RNA chain with minimal structural perturbation and with similar base-pairing properties, reducing the likelihood that substitution will impair RNA interactions or activities.

4-Thiouridine, 4-Thio-Uridine RNA Oligonucleotide Modification
-20°C To -70°C
Oligonucleotides are stable in solution at 4°C for up to 2 weeks. Properly reconstituted material stored at -20°C should be stable for at least 6 months. Dried DNA (when kept at -20°C) in a nuclease-free environment should be stable for years.
