This is a fragment 171 to 183 amino acids of the putative extracellular portion of the novel collagenous protein precursor, a component of senile plaque amyloid designated as CLAC-P (collagenous Alzheimer amyloid plaque component)-precursor. The antibody raised against this peptide shows positive bands migrating at 50 kDa in immunoblot.
