Lyophilized solid, trifluoroacetate (TFA) salt format
Description:
The tetrapeptide sequence WEHD (Trp-Glu-His-Asp) has been found to be the optimal tetrapeptide recognition sequence for one of the caspases, IL1-beta Convertase. Some other caspases (caspase-4, caspase-5) also prefer this tetrapeptide sequence. The synthetic compound N-Acetyl-WEHD-aldehyde (Ac-WEHD-CHO) has been shown to be a potent inhibitor for this enzyme.
