This peptide is a modification of the amyloid toxicity inhibitor peptide11 with Tyr4 and Tyr8 replacing Gly4 and Gly8 of the original peptide. This peptide is highly effective in blocking beta-amyloid 1 to 40 fibrillization, even more effective than peptide 11. It contains the hydrophilic amino acids line RxTxExKx of the original peptide.
